In a recent TikTok video, Olsen bravely discussed his experience with the nonconsensual sharing of explicit images from his past, hoping to shed light on the challenges he faced. The 26-year-old content creator addressed the recent leak of intimate photos and videos of him that have circulated online. Over the weekend, he took to social media to emphasize that he did not give permission for these materials to be shared, which have been widely disseminated on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). In a comprehensive statement on Instagram, Olsen detailed the events leading to the release of the photos, revealing that it originated from an encounter with a photographer when he was just 19.
Olsen, who built a following by sharing fitness photos on Instagram, shared his experience of being approached by photographers for potential collaborations. While he had mostly positive interactions, he recounted one specific incident where a photographer overstepped his boundaries. “During our first shoot, he had me sign a release for the photos right away, claiming it was standard procedure and necessary for us to begin,” Olsen explained. At just 19 and lacking experience, he went along with it, not fully grasping what it meant.
The content creator mentioned that even though he tried to express his discomfort, he felt powerless to say no to the photographer’s requests, resulting in the creation of material that he did not consent to. These photos later ended up on a paid platform and were eventually leaked. Olsen also noted that he had made other videos willingly during that period but wished for the distribution of these materials to stop.
In closing, Olsen stated, “I am working on forgiving myself, and I hope you can too.”
